My cousin Pam, who lives in Arizona, sent me this recipe. She says people love it & she almost gets embarrassed giving out the recipe because it is so simple. I love simple & this looks yummy. I will definitely make this to satisfy my sweet tooth.
Ingredients
1 tube (18 oz) refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough
1 pkg (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
1/2 c sugar
1 egg
Directions
Cut cookie dough in half. For the crust, press half of the dough in the bottom of a greased 8 inch square pan. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar and egg until smooth. Smooth over the crust. Crumble remaining cookie dough over the top. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 – 45 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool on wire rack. Refrigerate leftovers.
